Sermion [Nicergoline]

Sermion is a trade name of Nicergoline. Nicergoline is an ergot derivative that is used to treat vascular dementia.

The drug acts as an alpha-adrenergic receptor blocker, thus enhance cerebral blood flow and metabolism. Besides that, Nicergoline does have vasodilatory action on the other parts of the body and improve blood flow in upper and lower extremities.
