Adaptol [Mebicar]

Adaptol (Mebicar) is a Russian anxiolytic drug with nootropic properties. It is used in medicine since 1978 to treat anxiety disorders and chest pain. Mebicar also can be used for smoke cessation as it may reduce smoking cravings, and is shown positive results in studies on ADHD children.

Adaptol is non-addictive anti-anxiety drug and does not cause sedation, muscle relaxation, cognitive impairments and other side effects typical for most tranquilizers.

Indications for use are:

• Conditions followed by irritability, emotional lability, fear or anxiety
• Relief of side effects caused by tranquilizers and antipsychotics use
• Angina
• Premenstrual syndrome and menopause
• Adjunctive therapy for nicotine dependence
