BRAIN WORKING PERCENT
What percentage of your brain are you using? We all heard about different numbers like 5 or 10 percents. Let’s figure out, is it true or not.
Every second our brain making lots of operations, this is very hard to estimate, paying attention to the fact that such simple things like sitting on your chair, listening, seeing, feelings and many more must be performed simultaneously each second. It’s provided by information exchange between 100 billion neurons (or so-called nerve cells). Each neuron also can be connected to 10 thousand other neurons, transferring impulses to each other via 1,000 trillion synaptic connections. We usually do not notice all these operations, but this doesn’t mean they are not in the process, so why we can’t multiply huge numbers in seconds? It’s just because it’s not important for us, like vital functions.
BRAINWORK DURING DIFFERENT TASKS
Experiments with MRI scan showed that our whole brain works even when we make simple tasks, and damage to even a small piece of brain can have consequences for brain functions. But for example, when you watch on a picture and try to memorize it, brain involved more, than during chess game. Surprisingly, isn’t? It would seem the opposite. Chess players realize that sometimes you need a long time to think about your turn and look ten steps forwards, so why the brain works less, compared to simple picture memorize? It’s just because during chess there are game rules, and you must think within the limited field. You just made accents on logic and enemy turn prediction, plus you hold game rules in memory. Now let’s see how you memorize pictures. The spatial orientation of the individual elements, colors, shapes of these elements, the nature of this image, overall evaluation (are you like this picture or not). You can memorize it by many methods also, including logic. When you think:”Well, it’s a landscape picture, here is the sky, I also see trees, grass, stones… ”. Then, when you remember it, there will be the same sequence: “I guess there were some trees and nice clouds” then the brain will also use your imagination based on the logic, “if there was landscape picture, I guess there was grass also because obviously it was summer.” In this way, when you watch on the picture, more neurons works, compared to when you play chess, but why chess game is harder? Because you see images constantly from birth, and your brain trained for them, while you are not playing chess much, so neural connections is weak. It turns out that during game only certain brain areas working hard, which is physically smaller than those areas that work at memorizing pictures.
A short overall summary: all brain areas are always active, but certain areas more active at different times and during doing different tasks, there is no brain part that completely unused.
BRAIN POTENTIAL
Below there is a point that makes you think over. The brain has HUGE POTENTIAL. That’s what you wanted to hear. We use near 100% of the brain, but still we can increase its efficiency in DOZENS OF TIMES. Why? Neural connections! Neural connections are the future. The neural connection is your mind, memory, concentration, imagination, logic, even coordination! Many connections between neurons are creating since birth. They are some kind of sequence that is teaching us. We constantly use these connections, “don’t run across the road, take care of your health” we build logical chains, that’s what neural connections is. Why do we need integral? What are the consequences of sudden inflation? We all know those words, but don’t memorize their meaning, we just know them. That’s because we don’t have relevant neural connections, or they are too weak. But we can, for example, walk with no problems – since related neural connections trained from birth. What if we boost neural connections forming in 10 times? And slow down “forgetting” (neural connections decay) in 10 times? Then our teaching process would be ten times faster. There are medications available that can do that. Supplements for Nerve Growth Factor (NGF) increase.
The conclusion is: we use every part of the brain, the whole brain active all the time. But there is HUGE field for its performance increase. With suitable supplements and exercises, you can significantly improve your concentration, memory, and other cognitive functions
